THE FI TOOLKIT

Eight areas of FI research.

Explore what each tool does and how its energy and heat are calculated.

Measurement planning

In saved case a1-1-100_b48, channels have unequal noise. The plan uses 23 readings instead of 48 at the same modeled quality target.

At the saved 10 W sensing baseline and fixed reporting rate: 7.695833333 W input and 2.304166667 W less heat for equal exports and stored-energy change. The cooler uses 50 g fixed + 150 g scalable mass; 34.5625 g removed at equal heat transfer and temperature, with 0 g added parts.

Linked-error decisions

The retained C05/T032 summary compares exact inference with SymPy in selected 256-input cases. Its within-case median ratios range from 1.7065 to 39.0642.

At a fixed job period T: E0=P0_active*t0+P0_idle*(T-t0)+E0_added; E1=P1_active*t1+P1_idle*(T-t1)+E1_added. Heat energy saved per job equals E0−E1 when exported energy and changes in stored energy match.

Energy and heat accounting

The actuator checks use equal force and reconcile energy at the load with energy at the power source.

In the retained battery-boundary adverse example, equal exports and stored-energy change give 0.006 J more heat per job. The 200 equal-force checks retain the same copper loss.
