QNUK / QUANTUM RESEARCH

QNUK.

Access meant for one use.

QNUK explores quantum credentials intended for one use. Think of a credential as a key or token presented to a system to request access.

The research asks whether the quantum state carrying that credential could help limit attempts to turn one issued credential into two usable ones.

Why one use matters.

A copy of an ordinary digital key can contain the same information as the original. For organisations planning tightly controlled access, that raises a useful question: can the credential itself bring an additional limit on duplication? QNUK studies that question as a quantum-security research programme.

Encryption across devices.

An earlier QNUK research model explores preparing an encrypted quantum message on one device and reading it on another. The receiver works locally once the message and key have arrived.

The work so far.

Our work includes mathematical results about copying within specific models, a proposed laboratory study and offline software checks. The software exercises the handling of test records, including cases designed to be rejected.

The project is at the design and software stage, with laboratory work ahead.
