WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

Flight-computer processing.

The NanoMind reference uses 148.5 mW at its stated operating point. A net saving of 1 mW would be 0.67% of that computer input at the same point. This scales the published reference; it is a calculation.

What the design aims to improve

Leave more power and time for other spacecraft functions. Smaller power and cooling hardware are considered within the complete mission budget.

THE APPLICATION

Spacecraft flight computing

Small-satellite electronics and flight-software teams

Reduce avoidable work in the flight computer while keeping its deadlines, checks and fault recovery.

Controller-code verification · Measurement planning · Offline engineering workbench

The study covers a defined computation or sensor-planning task with exact required outputs and a fixed schedule.
